The team

Shared Sight is run from the Chiba Centre for Visual Science by a team of fourteen led by Dr Kaji Aoi. The programme is overseen by an independent data ethics board and the board’s Data and Ethics Committee.

What you will do

  • Maintain and test the anonymisation pipeline, including the on-device blurring of other people specified in KF-OS 2.
  • Make sure that deletion requests remove a donor’s data from every copy, including backups, within thirty days.
  • Support the data access committee with technical assessments of research applications.
  • Work with external auditors.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in privacy engineering, security or large-scale data systems. Experience with storage systems holding billions of records is essential.
  • Familiarity with de-identification methods and their limits.
  • Business-level Japanese or English, and a willingness to work in both.
